Below is some information about who I work with and what we can do.
My main goal is to help you find peace with yourself. To accept who you are when you feel out-of-place. This generally includes areas like anxiety, depression, trauma, low self-worth, perfectionism, eating disorder, and body image disorder.
There is no right way to grieve. You may feel like no one can truly connect to you or understand what you are going through. This can lead to isolation, shame and doubt. Grief can occur with any sort of loss or change in work, body, relationships, or identity. We can make time to honor your experiences.
An injury or illness can leave devastating effects on our self-identity. You may no longer be able to do the things that you used to be able to. You may have asked existential questions for the first time. Your life within your community also changes. We can work on processing these changes and find new sources of meaning.
The process of having children can be arduous and painful. There are so many nuances that go neglected. People are often told well-intentioned yet harmful messages. If birth is successful, then there are "right" ways to parent. This process can feel so judgmental and overwhelming. Let's create a space for you to express your experiences and find out what is important to you.
Sadly in our era, feeling rejected, terrified and criticized for one's sexual orientation is still present. You may experience the loss of family members and friends. You may doubt your worth in this world. You may be scared of the consequences. You deserve to be here! Let's honor you.
If something is going to make us feel different, it can be the way we orient and think about the world. You have been told you are odd, quirky, or too much. You may have felt misunderstood when you shared or like you are missing the "script" for life. Let's work on learning how neurodiversity impacts you and how it can work for you.
All of or none of the above can contribute to problems in relationships. Perhaps, you are experiencing gaslighting, criticism, or abuse. Everyone wants you to leave but only if they understood. Relationships with partners, friends and family are complex. Let's learn about healthy behaviors in relationships and how to cope.
